About Dr. Domingues

Dr. Janine Domingues is a licensed clinical psychologist in New York and New Jersey, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety disorders, mood concerns, trauma, grief, and emotion regulation difficulties in children, adolescents, and adults. Her approach helps clients and families understand challenges while building effective skills for long-term success.

Before founding Collaborative Growth, she spent more than a decade as a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Senior Director of School and Community Programs at the Child Mind Institute, where she built mental health programs and trained educators and clinicians across the country.

Dr. Domingues earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychology from the University of Connecticut. She completed her predoctoral internship at Rutgers Behavioral Health Care and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Child Mind Institute in New York.

Do you accept insurance?

Dr. Domingues is an out-of-network provider, meaning she does not accept insurance or directly work with insurance companies. Please check with your insurance to see whether you have out-of-network behavioral health included in your plan. Dr. Domingues can provide a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

What are your rates and payment options?

Please reach out through the consultation form regarding fees for services.

Good Faith Estimate. You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don't have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of expected charges.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy.
  • You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
  • If you receive a bill at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

An initial consultation is used to better understand your concerns and determine whether our services are a good match. If another provider or level of care would be more appropriate, referrals may be recommended.
